Orchestra music

The first notable orchestral work, the chamber symphony, originated as a septet. At the beginning of the 1930's it was converted in an orchestration and further on nurtured the composer's prominence. It was even conducted by Herbert von Karajan. With it's melodic expressiveness and the very sophisticated instrumentation with a small orchestration (solo string quintet, string orchestra, 2 clarinets, 2 horns and a timbal) it achieved a great success. After the chamber symphony, the two movement - piano concert developed in 1938 with the obligatory clarinet as a kind of double concerto, that was edited in 1978. In 1941 Suder wrote the 1st Sympohonic music in a movement for symphonic orchestra and organ for the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1963 the composer finished the 2nd three movement-symphonic music for symphonic orchestra that has been frequently performed since 1981. With the "Heitere Ouvertüre" (1970) and the "Walzerzyklus" (1973) lateron followed two additonal orchestral compositions. The "Walzerzyklus" had much importance for the composer. He ?translated it on several orchestrations.
